Bell's palsy
Bell's palsy is a facial paralysis which is caused by dysfunction of facial nerve.
Causes -exposure to cold, mumps, chicken pot, viral infection.
Symptoms
1.rapid onset of mild weakness to total paralysis on one side of your face occurring within hours to days.
2.difficulty in making facial expressions such as closing your eyes, smiling, facial droop.
3.drooling , pain behind ear.
4.increased sensitivity to sound on affected side.
5.headache , decrease or inability to talk.
Treatment -
Facial muscle stimulation
Facial exercises
Corticosteroid & antiviral medications.
